This is the story of a person close to me. This cop is a dirty cop. He abuses his powers and is a disgrace to the badge. Here is the story: The officers name is Deputy Vincent Marino-Vitani. He hit and killed a 65 year old woman. I lived in brevard county for a few years and can tell you they are one of the most corrupt police depts in the country......I was harassed constantly by one of the deputies. who was married and having an affair with my wife. in addition to pulling me over several times to basically laugh in my face for his misconduct with my spouse while he was on duty, and telling her he would take care of her husband whenever she wanted it reached a boiling point when I moved almost 50 miles from his jurisdiction and was still receiving threatening calls from him that he was going to come arrest me....................................................................... (like I would have allowed this slime to put me in hand cuffs) It wasnt until I did some digging found out where he lived, who his wife was, where she worked, sent her a letter detailing his misdeeds with my spouse, sent a similar letter to the acting sheriff, and the newspapers that the harassment stopped..................... about two years after leaving the state I read online that the same officer had hit and killed a pedestrian in his police car, speeding and off duty, and got off Scott free without even a speeding ticket!.................because there wasnt any witnesses (other than the person he killed) to prove that he was the one actually driving HIS squad car (Try to imagine the ridiculousness of that defense) ..............with my experience with this officer I have to wonder if this was really an accident, or if he was needing to silence another individual he wronged.... Here is the link to the person he killed and got away with. This is just sick. Justice needs to come to this dirty cop. news.brevardtimes/2011/08/deputy-vincent-marino-vitani-acquitted.html Deputy Vincent Marino-Vitani Acquitted of Speeding Charge Brevard County Deputy Vincent Marino-Vitani was acquitted of a speeding charge by Brevard County Judge Kelly Jo McKibben yesterday. The case was a civil traffic infraction and the deputy never faced jail time. Court records show that the case had been continued by the State Attorneys Office several times, and it was ordered on April 8, 2011 that the State Attorneys Office would not be given any more continuances in the case. The basis for the acquittal was the lack of eyewitnesses that could definitively place the deputy behind the wheel when his cruiser hit and killed Henrietta Strong, age 65, on State Road 520 in Cocoa nearly a year ago.
