This message is from the Division of Occupational Safety and Health in the Washington State Department of Labor and Industries. ******************************************************************************* A Mercer Island company has been recognized by the Department of Labor and Industries for its exemplary safety and health prevention program. Bayley Construction received a “Safety through Achieving Recognition Together,” or START award, for safety excellence at its corporate office and its equipment yard. Bayley Construction is the first construction company in the state to receive the award and only the sixth company in the state to achieve the recognition. The goal of the START award is to showcase businesses with excellent safety and health programs as a way of encouraging other companies to improve their safety efforts. The award was presented to Ron Bayley, Chairman and CEO, at a special ceremony last month.
