This morning we drove Elder Casper and Elder McArthur to the Keflavik airport for their journey home (by way of Denmark). Suitcases at their apartment had to be handed over the patio wall because of fresh paint at the entrance to their building. After the well-wishing and goodbyes, it was off to the airport. Our timing was perfect as they got into line just before busses of tourists swarmed into the terminal. But there was no rush as the ticket agent informed them of scheduled maintenance delaying their 1:15 pm flight until 4:30pm. Suddenly baggage costs were waived and gratis food vouchers were offered to our elders. We still arent sure if they received these perks because of the delayed flight or if it was because the ticket agent was absolutely astounded that our elders were able to speak Icelandic so well!!! Well done, Elders. We love you and miss you already!!
