This notification is issued as a precautionary alert to families in our district. Today we received a report of a suspicious person, acting strangely, at the bus stop at Fay Lane and Ferndale Lane. The suspicious person was an older gentleman with balding white hair wearing a Carhart jacket. The Town of Manlius Police Department is currently investigating this matter that occurred on March 28, 2014 between 8:25 and 8:30 am. If you have any information regarding this matter or observe what you think may be this vehicle, please contact the Town of Manlius Police Department by calling 911. This incident serves as a reminder for all parents/guardians, regardless of your attendance zone, to advise your children not to talk to strangers, and to report any suspicious encounters to school staff immediately. Please be assured that the District will continue be vigilant in our efforts to advise you and your children of any potential dangers when they are brought to our attention.
