This past month turned out to be a busy month in DC as the African diplomatic corps is getting ready for the US Africa leaders summit. President Obama in August will welcome leaders from across the African continent to the Nation’s Capital for a three-day U.S.-Africa Leaders Summit, the first such event of its kind. This Summit, the largest event any U.S. President has held with African heads of state and government. Our Embassy in Washington DC is working hard to ensure that we play our partition with perfection but we also find time to meet our obligations in ensuring that Benin is always represented. The Embassy was presented at the AGOA retreat in Washington DC, the US Independence Day 4th of July celebration, at the State department, and at the White House reception for the diplomatic corps among others…
