This perversely mushy testimonial is the product of a delirious mind, borne of a 38-degree fever, and streaming down my neurons like the snot that flows down my nares. Any indication of sentimentality should be regarded as a transient lapse of common sense... On any ordinary day, I wouldnt even have hand-picked Aiza from a group of strangers to become my friend. I mean, on the surface, were so smack-dab antipodal, from the way we speak, to our choice of music or even entertainment, wholesome or otherwise. But despite the differences, shes one person I truly never get tired seeing or having around. In fact, her absence sometimes makes the rest of the day quite drab and uneventful. Shes so much fun! She has a remarkable sense of humor, and there was never a single instance when she failed to make me laugh... Just the mere sight of her can make anyone roll on the floor, laughing their ass off. Haha! No seriously, she has this knack for astutely figuring out where your funny bone is. And when she does offend, youd easily get over the aspersion and see that beneath the seemingly crude exterior is a heart of gold. On the contrary, shes among the most talented and prodigious people I know. She has this uncanny drive to excel in whatever she puts her mind on. And this passion for things she loves is what makes her a very good friend. Shell stand by you even when youre already making a mockery of yourself. Shell always be ready to comfort you with a gentle pat on the shoulder, or a comical quip, whenever you feel down. She can be fiercely loyal to friends and rabidly protective of the people and things she values the most. Ive known her for more than seven years, and I can confidently say that shes won me over with her guilelessness and honesty. Its true when they say that the true measure of friendship is not in the amount of time you spend together. Its in the quality of those moments and the authenticity of the feelings shared. And in her, I did not only find a friend, I found someone who I can actually consider a lifetime partner. Its not very difficult to like her. No pretensions, no facade. Thats Aiza. O, di ba mushy?
