This saddens me. If straight-up information doesnt seem to combat the tide of denial, what will? People who dont get the vaccine and dont get the flu dont realize that they were lucky enough to not be exposed to the virus during the flu season, and that the lack of exposure was largely due to herd immunity - not just good hygiene (which is also critical). In the meantime, people that are immuno-compromised (including newborns and infants who cannot get the vaccine) are at higher risk. For Petes sake, people, the flu shot CANNOT give you the flu, AND the flu is NOT a stomach bug - its a very serious respiratory illness.
