This so-called foreigner that Sacky and the PM refer to is someone who has lived in this country for more than 20 years, is married to a Namibian and has Namibian children. As a young man, he was an advocate for Namibias independence in his native Britain, and contributed positively to post-independence Namibia in terms of socio-economic policy development and research. He was a comrade. He did A LOT of work for government over the years, and no one had a problem with him until now that the organisation he heads is a member of the #MyConstitutionMyDecision Coalition. Let me reiterate: Do not let personal and unjustifiable attacks on civil society and the media distract you from the real issue: If implemented, the proposed changes will weaken our democracy and allow for an oligarchy to prosper.
