This video was the PSA for the Joanna McAfee Childhood Cancer Foundation during childhood cancer awareness month. It is based on the life and struggles of Joannas brother Paul McAfee as he also endured the pain of his little sister fighting for her life. Sadly, Joanna passed away at only six years old. Paul was 12. On what would have been Joannas 15th birthday on April 16, 2014, Paul McAfee fell to his death from the balcony of his apartment in San Diego, CA. No one really knows how it happened, if it was accidental or if the pain that Paul carried in losing Joanna was too much to handle anymore. Cancer affects EVERYONE in a family. It eats away at the very core of you, even after your loved one is gone. I have been very proud to be a part of the Joanna McAfee Childhood Cancer Foundation since its creation. As a Board of Director, I encourage you to make a donation to the JMCCF in memory of Paul McAfee, in memory of his sister Joanna McAfee and in memory of someone you loved that lost their battle to cancer. Our non-profit foundation has raised thousands of dollars to raise awareness about childhood cancer and in the past provide support to families of children with cancer.
