This was the theme of the Conference held in Abidjan by the AUA (African Union of Architects). I see that Kenya, after 7 months is already in the implementation stage of the concept adopted. I represented Liberia which was not a member of the Union, and we made a presentation to become a member State. On December 12th 2012, Liberia became the 47th member State. Thanks to the initiatives of Fellow Architect John T. Richardson, the Liberian Chamber of Architects, and my own personal funds used to facilitate the trip. We asked what We could do for our Country, and Not what Our Country could do for Us. Unfortunately, our Country has very little interest in this Global problem which has to be solved by literally turning lemons into lemonade.
