Those of you in the DC / Baltimore area: I wanted to post that I went to Feathers, Scales, and Tails Veterinary Hospital to treat one of my snakes this month. My female Morelia carinata had a very early case of RI, probably brought on by my use of very moist cypress mulch. I was turned on to FST and made an appointment. I was stunned at the low cost of the visit and the meds. I went back last night for her check-up and it was just as reasonable. In addition, besides SEAVS, I have never been to a vet before that will just reach in and grab a python - and then check the snake over ---- all while showing the confidence that she actually knows what she is looking for, what she is doing, and how to treat the snake. Dr, Heather Bowles gets my thumbs up and I am really grateful to have a knowledgeable herp vet within 40 minutes drive of my house. fstvet/
