Those of you interested in Jackjacks results : He now has tubes in both ears. ^^ Hes extremely grumpy today because of it. It will help us once we start letting him eat and drink by mouth again. Because of his condition he doesnt swallow very well, so food gets him sick easily. (Up his nose for infections and in his lungs) When we try and start teaching him how to eat again, having the tubes in minimizing sinus problems and hopefully he doesnt get as sick. As for his hearing ..... He is considered to have mild to borderline medium/severe hearing loss. He can hear loud noises and high pitches but he cannot hear the sounds words make. The only word he says is Momma (Thank God). We got him fitted for hearing aids today. :) They told me when he receives them, he will be able to hear EVERYTHING clearly!! I think my son is soooo very clever for being able to communicate with me without being able to hear the majority of my words!! I cannot wait for next month and I cannot wait for his hearing aids! I am excited for finally getting results and being able to move forward with his speech! Thank you everyone for being our support while we are away from home! Just another step closer. :D
