Her folk style resonates with rock and country. Through her music Claire opens up about love and heartbreak, life lessons and the province where she grew up. She has the ability to tell a story through hooky melodies, literal yet poetic lyrics and catchy chord progressions, which she plays with intricate finger picking styles as well as strong rhythmic strumming. Claire is recording her debut album this summer 2014 and is currently earning her Contemporary Music degree at Humber College in Toronto, in her fourth year. “Claire has been a student of mine at Humber College and has really grown into her talent: a songwriter with clever creativity, and a singer with a warm, accessible style. Plus she’s got some nice fingerstyle chops on her guitar, and a wicked sense of humour, so she’s a real quadruple-threat. She has an artist’s eye, with insightful sensitivity. There is a little Jann Arden and Joni Mitchell in her. She has a nice range of creative tools. That speaks potential to me” - Rik Emmett, Triumph -------------------------------------------------------------------------------
