Throwback Thursday. Cowboy is such an old goofball and is always hamming it up for the cameras. He recently started working with some clients in ground school lessons after over two years of weight rehab. He was shockingly thin when he arrived and over the first month or so that we had him, he had three serious episodes of choking and we werent sure if we could pull him through. During the third (and final) episode, the vet suggested it might be in his best interests to put him down. We answered, If he tries, well try. Well, he fussed and protested and got mad-clearly trying and we ended up feeding him what we called hay soup for the whole summer. Pretty soon we got some results, started him on more solid food and two years later, here he is. Still fussing--but in the most delightful way. Now thats a nice save!
