Ticket Checking Drive at Tadepallegudem on 27th Aug., 2014 Yeilds Rs. 1,28,430/- A Massive Ticket Checking Drive was conducted on Ticketless Travellers at Tadepallegudem Railway Station on 27th August, 2014 under the supervision of Shri Y. Pulla Rao, Divisional Commercial Manager, Vijayawada Division on Ticketless travellers covering all Passenger/Express trains passing through the station. As a result of these checks, 307 cases of Passengers travelling without Tickets and carrying un-booked luggage were detected and an amount of Rs. 1,28,430/- ( Rupees One Lakh Twenty Eight Thousand Four Hundred and Thirty only ) was realized. Four (04) Passengers who failed to pay the Railway dues were produced in the Court and prosecuted . The Services of 21 Ticket Checking Staff, In-charge Supervisors, RPF and GRP personnel were utilized for the purpose. These types of Checks will continue in the future also. All Passengers are requested to travel with valid journey tickets only and help the Railways to keep the Stations and Trains clean and tidy.
