Tigers win at Woodfin Ridge The Gamecock golfers at Woodfin Ridge have ruled the roost for the last two years, but this year the Tiger golfers got back in the win column. The annual match up between Clemson and South Carolina golfers at the club in Boiling Springs has been going on for more than a decade. The event is usually held before the Clemson - Carolina Football game, but because of bad weather it was postponed until December 7th. The Tiger golfers must have been inspired by their football teams performance on the field as they topped the Gamecock golfers 15 1/2 to 12 1/2 in the four ball tournament. The winner of the event gets a steak dinner while the losers eat beans and corn bread. The winners get something much more important than a good steak, they get to raise their schools flag over the clubhouse. The orange tiger-paw flag will fly over Woodfin Ridge for the next year.
