Time for my 2 cents! The great debate about if busses are cancelled should schools be closed. Or if its a school where all kids walk should schools still be closed. I dont think this should be a debate for just schools. I work at a school. Sure I want the day off! But we dont close factories, malls, banks, stores, post offices etc. If there is a snow day. Everything should be done on an individual persons circumstances. Live around the corner and can walk there in 5 minutes, yes you should go to work. Have to drive 45 minutes from out of town on unplowed roads and poor visibility thats dangerous? Why risk it? Shouldnt be expected to. For ANY job. Its easier to fill a spot for one day or leave it unfilled for the day than have your employees hurt or killed. So should schools be closed when buses are cancelled or its bad weather? Not any more than any other job. And I am unaware of any job thats sort risking your life.
