Time to think! “We cannot solve our problems with the same - TopicsExpress

Time to think! “We cannot solve our problems with the same thinking we used when we created them.” Einstein wisely noted the need to dig deeper in thought for answers to the problems we face. So let’s corporately be willing to get out of our comfort zones and tackle some problems in 2015 to better our country. First we need to agree to see things in the context of the fact that while our path to 2015 may have been dramatically different, the fact remains we are all Americans and should be pursuing our individual welfare under these guiding core ideals and values; Liberty, Democracy, Individualism, Equality, Unity and Diversity. We must agree to a level of structured restraints to create a stable Civil Society. America is a democracy, yet the popular sovereignty is governed by the rule of law. Killing, looting, vandalism is not going to generate the level of transparent discourse to produce trust that the motivation is equality in the opportunity of the American dream. My Christmas wish is that we could have leadership in all American enterprise that would consistently share the importance of Equal Opportunity versus Equality of Outcome. History from the earliest civilizations show the clear delineation of classes, yet American ideals have allowed the free movement of individuals, who took the path of responsibility applying hard work, sacrifice and good decisions to achieve economic success. If we courageously present the big American ideals and remain steadfast on the authority on our values in the Christian heritage then a live-giving peace can transform rubble into an island of order and human development. We can not apologize for the Source of Truth. The American Church’s first concern should be to nourish the inner life of faith, however true spiritual reform inevitably should lead to social change including our defense of the oppressed. While diversity should be applauded and honored, the damaging affects on our communities that personal profiteering through division yields, needs to be exposed. The America dream is not best serve through the lenses of a “White America” or “Black America”. Yet we should openly examine the barriers that block the understanding of how an individual should best pursue human development to create a personal “economic engine” for one’s welfare. May the imminent turning of the calendar spur reflection on our individual responsibility to revitalize the American Spirit in 2015. Personal responsibility is thing people often dread the most, yet it is the one thing in the world that develops us, giving us manhood or womanhood fiber. Celebrate the Birth, your family & friends and let’s make 2015 a year of spiritual regeneration on many fronts. Merry Christmas!
