To address the additional need, the city has decided it will spend $10 million on a ramp if it can attract a private developer to make an additional investment in the project with anything from apartments to strip malls to office space to hotels to any other commercial venture. The Walker consultants identified three potential sites for such a ramp: a Wells Fargo parking lot and ramp between Main and Phillips avenues just south of Eighth Street; the Skellys lot north of 10th Street and a half-block east of Phillips Avenue; and property Raven Industries owns at the northeast corner of Phillips and Sixth Street. But those are only suggestions, Smith said, stressing that no site has been selected. We dont want to build it where nobody would use it, he said.
