To say the party was a success is an understatement. The party started at 7, but at 6:45 people started piling in and it didnt stop for a few hours. Our bartenders Pam Chapman and Yvonne Crandall were amazing & tolerant of such a large and thirsty crowd. The musical scene came full circle with Traditional Island Music that was played at all our old hall parties, to some Beatles & Motown and a special set with Michael A Gardner. All of the photos that adorned the walls and tables of many generations of Islanders sparked a lot of memories and conversations and reminded us all of the bond that we share and why we need to continue these parties.Weve lost a lot of Islanders in recent months and its important to honor them with the music and traditions and fellowship. In the midst of the trials of planning such a large event, the committee and I werent sure if it would be successful enough to be an annual event. After last night, I say heres to Islanders Reunion 2015!
