Today 03/Nov/2014 Monday, Aam Aadmi Party Kanchipuram District -Pallavaram Constituency Volunteers Syed, Rajesh, Mubaraq, Murugesan, Palalni Moses, Sharath Loganathan along with Mr. Vasikaran and Mr. Deenadayalan who is a local resident met Mr. Ramamoorthy, Pallavaram Municipality Commissioner to give a petition which AAP Pallavaram consolidated local issues with suggessions. During this meet, Commissioner appreciated AAPs efforts. Below are few points from our discussion. From the overall conversation, we were able to understand that fund available with the municipality per year is sufficient to run the municipality yearly expenses. Only few crores are able to save per year which in-turn being spent for any new schemes. 1. Pallavaram Municipality is ready to take/implement any work which doesnt require huge budget. Eg: Require of garbage bin, Rain water harvesting in road. 2. Since there is low fund available as savings for a year, it is not possible to take works which requre high budget unless a seperate budget is allocated by the govt. 3. P M wanted residents to get Underground Draining System only then the draining which runs on side of streets can be stopped. Also required funds can be generated. Likewise they stressed that residents need to pay their regular tax amount as this fund is again going to be spent for the public. 4. On discussing various issues, he menioned that public needs to get awareness of keeping environment clean, not to feed street dogs as that multiplies the dogs presense. 5. P M said that there are various project proposals submited for approval. Eg: Increasing number of garbage bins in each area; Restoring Keelkattalai Eri, Pallvaram Periya Eri; 6. P M Commissioner told that public can SMS him about any issues pertaining to his role which in-turn he will forward to the respective officers. Aam Aadmi Party assured that it will give full cooperation in efforts which benifits common man. Also we said we will try our best to create awareness to the public. Aam Aadmi Party will continue to identify local issues and try to resolve by taking it to necessary officers. Attached few pics of the meeting.
