Today, Cameroonians around the world are in great mourning for not just an artist but a political activist whom despite his love for his country, will be interred in Buffalo, NY. The legacy of his battles, although not won yet, will continue to live on in the hearts of all who love their country so much that they are willing to pay the price of freedom for the rest of us too coward to speak or revolt. Today as we lay ye to rest, rest assured that the seed you planted did not fall on deaf ears. The rest of the world will know that it is our government and not the populace that is corrupt. Investment opportunities will come back as they will see that our current government officials do not speak for us as an entire nation but only speak on behalf of their bellies and misplaced loyalties. In any nation a man of your statute would have received a state ceremony for speaking on behalf of the streets. You, through your music, not only created a language but united us and had us question our prejudices of each other. We thank your family for sharing you with us during your short stay here on earth. We thank you for showing us a vision of what Cameroon is supposed to be. You seriously overdid yourself. May the ancestors accept you with open arms.
