Today I am making a trip I have made several times before for my dad. This time there will be no hospital visits, no smartass remarks to dad on how he must really love the nurses there since he keeps coming back. No relief when I see him looking ok when I first get there. No listening to mom say " damn it Ross, your a pain" as she tries to keep him covered so he stops flashing everyone ( which I think he loved doing just to piss her off) . My dad has had a very rough couple of years with his health and to know he is free of all that pain warms my heart but I will still miss him very much. I love you dad, please help us get through this with as much laughter as we can. PS.. mom says this was one hell of a way of getting out of a 50th anniversary gift!! You are in sooo much trouble!!
