Today I had a God moment. I was walking in the woods looking to take pictures. It has been a minute since I was out just to sooth my soul and enjoy nature. I was walking along and I had found nothing really special to shoot and all of the things that were nice to shoot ran or flew away before I could capture the picture. I was discouraged... I typically have a conversation with God while out in the woods. I thank him for my gifts and I ask questions and just connect. At this point I was asking him what I was doing wrong. I wasnt able to connect like I normally do. I was thinking too much about all of the issues of the world and wondering about things that hurt me inside. No joke I heard him say be still I actually chuckled and said that it was me thinking about things too much. I heard it again. So I thought what if he is trying to talk to me and I am ignoring after just asking him to help me. So I stood still. I saw a squirrel run by and was like let me go after him... I heard be still I did. I looked up and saw a bird flying. I looked hard and thought that must be a hawk. I turned my camera toward the bird and saw a white head black body and white tail!!!!! It was an adolescent bald eagle! I went to chase and I heard be still I did kinda. I kept shooting! He flew over head and circled and kept getting closer! If I had stayed in the spot that I was I would have got a super clear shot! No mind you my camera was not set right to get good pictures. It was WAY over exposed but I got the shots. Then I felt I should go to the park down the street but because Im stubborn I didnt want to leave the spot I was incase the bird came back. Eventually I got tired of waiting and continued to walk. I got to a clearing and I could see the eagle flying right near the park that I was going to go to. I should have known... But I will tell you it felt good to hear God. It felt good to reconnect to nature! Cant wait till next time!
