Today, I listed some songs to Our Lady of Guadalupe in remembrance of the dedication my maternal grandfather, Luis H. Mares had for her. So much so, that as his sons, my uncles went off to WWII he made a promise to her that as each one returned he would make a pilgrimage to her shrine in Mexico, and, so they did...Ignacio, Bill, Manuel, Fritz, Louie, Jess. First cousins all came back except for one (Fernandez). We honor them this memorial day, as well as brother in-law, Dave Ramirez, family friend Richie Hernandez (Korea), Pete and Larry Ciani and so many gone now who served in Vietnam, Iraq, Afghanistan and so many other places we know nothing about. I also listed a song titled AMOR ETERNO...the words say it all, how I wish your eyes had never closed and I could still look into them...eternal love, unforgettable...God bless those whove gone before us securing our freedom. God bless those in harms way at this very moment. Thank you all for your service, your love of your country, your love of your countrymen. AMEN.
