Today I start a nutrition plan I have to follow for 30 days. I have some issues with my thyroid, and to make a definitive diagnosis I have to eat a low iodine diet for 30 days before the test. If I cheat, I have to start the 30 day count all over again and I have to wait longer to know what treatment I need. So, clearly I can not and will not cheat. Basically, it is much easier to list what I can eat. Fresh meat, (nothing cured) trout, lake bass, fresh vegatables, fresh fruit, lentils, oils, white vinegar, a few non glutan grains, nuts, basmati rice, and potato - no skins. Nothing else. Period. And I can not eat out at all during this time. If I did not cook it, or someone close to me did not cook it, I can not eat it. I would love some support from all of you. I am giving up a lot of foods and was a stress eater thanks to leukemia, so I am finding new ways to deal with stress. If you have really amazing pale recipes that you love - I would love them!
