Today I took a calculated chance, calculated because I calculated God in it. I changed the Peanut butter cookie recipe, changed it thoroughly. The one I had been using made a greasy, flat, uneventful cookie. It was the product of passed down convolution from inmate to inmate, who more often than not wanted to take the peanut butter out of the kitchen in their shoe. I decided to jump right out there and change it using the concepts I have gained from the books and hands on training I have applied to this apprenticeship. It was to the tune of 200 pounds of cookie dough. It would have been disastrous had I failed. Here is what I told the men who work under me: If I succeed in these cookies it will be because I believed God would cause it and to the great glory Of God. Should I fail it will be because I tried to take too much control. This is what I believe. It is that simple. And I succeeded beyond my own expectations. The cookies were absolutely the BOMB!
