Today, I will walk with forgiveness. I will consider all those - TopicsExpress

Today, I will walk with forgiveness. I will consider all those things that I perceive done to me in a bad way and who perpetrated those things. I will understand that forgiveness is not really about the other person(s) but about me and relieving myself of the burden of anger, grudges, revenge, etc. I will endeavor to put those things down and not carry them. Forgiveness….for (to help; in the place of); give (impart something); ness (the act of). Perhaps if we look at how a word is composed we could have a greater understanding and therefore be able to communicate with ourselves. Being on this social site for some time now, I have concluded that the majority of people have no understanding of their own language. The inappropriate use of words and the gross misspelling, punctuation and simple sentencing, all point to this and lends it credibility. Now, what does that have to do with forgiveness? If people understood their language better they would know what the real meaning is and not just how they’ve heard it used a lot. Forgiveness is not condoning or approving of an action or behavior. It is about allowing oneself to move on. Anger and begrudgement are really heavy burdens to carry around and they get heavier with time. Forgiveness is the willingness to put those down and not carry them. That also means I am under no obligation to have contact with those who may have wronged me in some way. Come and walk the forgiveness path with me for a while. Maybe you will be able to forgive someone and maybe you will help me to be more forgiving. I love you. –Will Davis
