Today in Rock History, October 22, 1976: Bob Seger released his ninth studio album Night Moves which was his first album with The Silver Bullet Band. The album went on to reach number eight on the Billboard 200 album chart and sell six million copies in the U.S. Three singles were released from the album, Night Moves, Mainstreet, and Rock and Roll Never Forgets, with two of them making the top 40 on the Billboard Hot 100. Four of the nine songs on the album feature backing by the Muscle Shoals Rhythm Section. Here’s a live performance of Main Street from 1980. Sorry for the poor quality. Still worth it though. https://youtube/watch?v=RGJpU-4nJI4
