Today is a very big day for Mylah & our family! Surgery number 11... INFUSER PORT REMOVAL!!!!!!!๐ŸŽ‰๐Ÿ˜„๐Ÿ‘ Although Mylahs journey is far from over & hospital, checkups, eye doctors & scans will always be a part of our lives now. Today, I feel like we are getting our baby back to ourselves! For 10 months now, Mylah has had an Infuser Port inside her body. Having any foreign object inside your body is a risk & can be potentially deadly. No more port means, no more temperature checks everyday, no more crazy sterilising of everything, no more patching or covering at the pools, no more worrying about knocking the port & hurting her, no more horrific port needlings and most importantly.. NO MORE CHEMO! And no more chemo means SO many wonderful things!! With the port, it really felt like, when the Cancer world calls.. We come running. And that is sickening to me.. The guilt we would feel driving to the hospital each time she had a temperature, looking in the rear view mirror at our happy smiling baby, knowing that she was about to be held down, kicking & screaming & watch as the nurses needle her port, then watch her have to endure minimum of 2 nights in a tiny hospital room, in a cot that looks like a cage, on a 24hr drip, pumping antibiotics into her body.. Felt kinda like We were taking our little lamb to the slaughter each time..๐Ÿ˜” BUT NO MORE!!!๐Ÿ˜ ๐Ÿ‘Š๐Ÿ’ช What doesnt kill you, makes you stronger & all the times i felt like giving up.. I remembered my survival rate for hard times so far is 100% Today is a good day๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ‘ Prayer welcomed!
