Today is the 150th anniversary of the Third Battle of Winchester, which pitted CSA forces under Jubal Early against Phillip Sheridans Union troops. During this battle, Confederate generals Rodes and Goodwin were killed, Fitzhugh Lee, Terry, Johnson, and Wharton wounded. Union general Russell was killed, McIntosh, Upton, and Chapman wounded.
