Today marked the first meet of assistant coaching and the first meet for the athletes. In both the girls and boys varsity we had a runner finish in the top 10. Had a few PRs, and the boys varsity all finished in under 20:20. Not bad for their first meet. My words cant describe how proud of each and every single one of them. Its been incredibly weird for me to be the one blowing the whistle. Its weird being called coach Laster. But its amazing to see the the kids perform at a high level day in and day out and see their hard work pay off. As a side bar huge shout out to the lady friend Caitlynn Oberhausen. Stood in the humidity, heat, a lot of rain, then more rain just to watch the team run and see me yelling at the top of my lungs to get the kids to run faster. Its nice to have someone beside me that supports me and my dream and is willing to be there all the time. Im doing the things I love with the people I love.
