Tom came in from work yesterday afternoon with a look of concern - TopicsExpress

Tom came in from work yesterday afternoon with a look of concern on his face. He was carrying the mail with him. He always checks it on the way in. I said What? He looked at me and his face became rather somber. I asked What? He sighed and his face became even more somber. I began to get concerned as he handed me a piece of the mail that was addressed to me. I read it and yelled NO!! and began to scream and cry and throw a hissy fit. Tom comforted me and said I did not want to give you that piece of mail. I just didnt want to... The letter said JUROR SUMMONS NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!! When they get to me and start asking questions as to whether to keep me or excuse me, Im thinking the fact that I was questioned by the FBI in a federal case several years ago may excuse me. If not and they ask if I have a problem finding someone guilty Im going to say Well, no. I mean, if you arrested the guy and hes going to trial. So, hes clearly guilty...Right? lol only kidding Seriously though, I refuse to serve on a jury. And yes, I know if I dont they can put me in jail or whatever - then so be it. Ill be locked up. That would be better than serving on a jury. And no, it has nothing to do with being inconvenienced by it. Its much much much more than that...
