Tomorrow my country decides its future. In the process of reaching this decision egos have flared, tempers have frayed, bonds have broken and unlikely alliances have formed. In the aftermath of the referendum I hope the people of Scotland find acceptance. Acceptance of the outcome, acceptance of the future, but most importantly acceptance of each other. Irrespective of the outcome, the people of Scotland need to become united, to be a nation again, to survive and prosper into the future. I love a good debate, but this referendum has brought about such animosity and hate from both camps that it has been saddening to watch it unfold. I feel the outcome of this referendum should be hope. Hope, that with a Yes outcome, the country will come together to strive to achieve the possibilities Independence offers, be united in the face of adversity and hardship and consolidated that our Nation can only become prosperous through unity. Hope, that with a No outcome, we dont treat it as a defeat, that we maintain our fierce sense of pride in who we are as a people and that we work together to make Scotland a prosperous country for future generations. The world is watching. Waiting with bated breathe for a decision. However, it is how we as a Nation deal with that decision that will shape our future. Lets do Scotland and her future generations proud, whatever the outcome. Alba gu bràth!
