Tonight I am thankful for a great colleague Brenda) whose installation we will be celebrating in a dozen days, the firefighters and their supporters (in the camps and back at home) who are fighting the wildfires in California and around the globe, and for all the ways my former congregations have formed me and helped me to become a better pastor (yeah, Gina, it being your birthday today [well, technically yesterday] made me think of that one). Thank you, God, for these blessings and for so many more.
