Tonight I helped a guy catch his dog. I had decided to take Simon to the lake for a walk and a man and his dog were running to the lake when I passed them. It was time for me head back and I saw the guy trying to catch his dog . I tried to help him, but I couldnt get out of my car. (As I was already in the car driving leaving the lake.) The pit bull RAN as fast as he could and was getting smaller and smaller to the point he was hardly visible. I asked the guy if he needed my help. He asked to use my phone to make a call. I told him to get in the back seat because Simon was in front with me! It was scary, but I felt it was the right thing to do. I drove as fast I could and we were unable to see the dog at all. Finallllly we saw Him.....The dog was STILL running on the road! I drove and passed the dog. The guy got out of my car, but the darn dog kept running, lol, so, the man got back in my car and at this point it was much scarier bc the dog had almost gotten ran over by multiple trucks. I decided to use my flashers and blink my headlights to warn other vehicles. Finally, the dog turned into a driveway which was about 2.5 miles from the lake! I dropped the man off there, but wondered how they were doing after our eventful chase. Lucky for me, I had exchanged numbers with the guy the man had called from my cell earlier so I text them to see if they had made it back safely, bc I was worried about the dog! That dog obviously wanted to go HOME lol. Here is the text that I just received from them Oh yes they both made it back to the cabin. Thank you for your help... we all greatly appreciate it.
