Topic: How much do you love Jesus? Text: John 21:15-17, Mark 12: 30-31, John 14: 21-23, Luke 7: 37-47 The Messenger: Pst: Maxwell The Message: The real test is to sacrificially serve Jesus. Be careful when you depart from the faith so that you dont pull others out of the fold in the process. Jesus needs our love and that is why He put the question to His disciple. Love for the master must come from the heart. It is not one you should be forced into. Even if His name works in your life and ministry it doesnt prove your love for the master Jesus. Love Him irrespective of the prevailing situation. You must determine to love the Lord, to have a personal attachment to Him. Your love must be heartfelt and devotional. Have devotion for Him. As you love the Master, so also should you love your neighbour. Love Christ as a personal friend. He regards us as His friends not His servants. Whatever He has is what we have (1st Cor 2: 10). If you say you love Jesus how do you keep his instructions? We need pastoral care as lambs and sheep. We need to be fed constantly with the word. Believers need constant guidance, protection and correction. There is a reward for loving Christ. Love for Christ guarantees the salvation of your soul, and a crown of life awaits you. Jesus is asking you: do you really love Me? Think of it! Be encouraged to love Jesus to the very end! Shalom!
