Traffic Outside D-2, BLOCK, JANAKPURI, (Pt. Vishnu Dutt Marg) at 8.30 am, due to diversion of DTC Buses. To, Dated : 24/08/2014 Sh. Najeeb Jung, Hon.Lieutenant Governor, (Delhi). Raj Niwas, New Delhi. Dear Sir, SUB : 1. OVERSPEEDING BY VEHICLES DESCENDING FROM FLYOVER (DELHI CANTT-SAGARPUR). 2. TRAFFIC DIVERSION ON PT. VISHNU DUTT MARG IN MORNING PEAK HOURS. 3. ACCIDENTS DUE TO MISMANAGEMENT OF TRAFFIC AND VIOLATIONS BY PUBLIC AT PT. VISHNU DUTT MARG T POINT PANKHA ROAD, D-2, BLOCK, JANAKPURI, NEW DELHI-110058. 4. MEASURES TO DECONGEST PT. VISHNU DUTT MARG. This is to draw your kind attention towards Plenty of problems being faced by the residents of our Residential area. Many learners have chosen our D-2, block for “ LEARNING DRIVING ” by self or from Learning school WHERE THE CARS / SCOOTERS / BIKES TAKE ROUNDS OF OUR BLOCK and hit other parked vehicles AND children who are Walking or Cycling inside the block. Many of them have been Minors, and the damage is unimaginable. Few Complaints have been registered and many get compromised as no one wants to get involved in cases. “Over Speeding” by other vehicles such as bikes, Scooters, Cars and Call Centre Cabs who drive beyond 60 to 70 Km /hr, with constant honking trying to rush thru Pt. Vishnu Dutt Marg, where speed breakers have also been sanctioned, But still not fixed / constructed till date by the PWD, inspite of repeated reminders. The Residents / walkers always fear that some or the other vehicle is going to hurt /hit them any time from front or behind, and many a times are taken by surprise as one cannot expect such speeds in Non Traffic areas. I request you for the sake of the Residents where children play / Cycle and senior citizens walk, to please provide Guidelines / suggestions, Viz; 1. Traffic Including DTC Buses, RTV S Should not be diverted on Pt. Vishnu Dutt Marg. As per DTC also these buses are not plying on the scheduled route. Pt. Vishnu Dutt MARG is always choked bcoz of theses diverted DTC buses. There is No way left for the Block Residents to come out of their block. (Pl see video). 2. Fixing of Road Signs, on Pt. Vishnu Dutt Marg and PANKHA Road, like NO HONKING, (as private buses and bikers use BANNED Pressure horns) DRIVE SLOW, (as people drive on high speeds in NON-PEAK hours, when they see Green Light towards Pankha road) LEFT TURN FREE, (as DTC buses AND other Private Buses always block the free left turn on Pt. Vishnu Dutt marg - T point, where buses have to take right Turn). U Turn allowed or Not allowed on Pt. Vishnu Dutt marg - T point, to give clarity to the Commuters. 3. Fixing of Road Signs on Delhi Cantt - Sagarpur Flyover Service lanes (Roads below / sides of Flyover ) like One way, HTV not allowed, RTV timings, etc. 4. The Auto Rickshaws waiting / standing and Stray Cattle on Sagarpur to Delhi Cantt Flyover often block the Traffic. Measures to be taken and signs to be fixed. 5. Speed Breakers are Required on Delhi cantt - Sagarpur Flyover as many vehicles over speed while Descending the flyover towards Pankha road. One of the accidents that occurred on dated : 24/08/2014, where a Delhi Jal Board Tanker over turned while descending the Flyover in a hurry to Cross Green Light, first hit a car on Left Side at the Red Light and then hit a Gol Gappa Vendor, crushed him along with with his cart and was admitted to hospital in a critical condition. 6. Deployment of at least 2-3 Traffic Constables each at Pt. Vishnu Dutt Marg Pankha Road T Point and Aggarwal / Sagarpur Red Light T Point on Satguru Ram Singh Marg, especially during peak hours--7.30 to 10.30 AM and 6.00 to 9.30 PM. There is open violation of Traffic Rules, as there is always heavy rush at these points. There is hardly anyone to challan these Traffic violators. Law of Land Must Prevail . Many Law abiding Citizens are left with No Option other than violating these Traffic Rules as they are reduced to minority since majority are law breakers. 7. Instructions for Learner Drivers and Driving Schools that they are not allowed to learn driving inside any Residential block. 8. NO RIGHT TURN / COMPULSORY LEFT TURN for those who exit from Bhagat Hospital and D-2 Block, take wrong side / Right Turn, to avoid the Red Light. This Association shall be grateful for your Kind Intervention in the above said matter. Awaiting Your Immediate Response and Cooperation, to avoid further accidents, mental tensions and to lead a peaceful life in a residential area. Thanking You, Sincerely Yours, Jasvinder Singh Dhir, (Executive Member, RWA) D-2 RWA, JANAKPURI, NEW DELHI-58. Kanwal Narula, (Executive Member, RWA) D-2 RWA, JANAKPURI, NEW DELHI-58. Jagdish Khetarpal, (Executive Member, RWA) D-2 RWA, JANAKPURI, NEW DELHI-58.
