Training Opportunity! BUSINESS COMMUNICATION AND ENGLISH TRAINING Duration: June 29th- July 20th, 2013 (3 weeks) Registration Deadline: June 27th, 2013 Tuition: $150.00 (One hundred and fifty Dollars) With the competitiveness of the job market and rapid changes in technology and communication, it is important to be able to adjust to the changes and yet be certain and clear about instructions and works needs to get done. Ability to communicate effectively leads to higher steps of success. Every employee’s well performance adds to the overall effectivenessof the firms. CONTENT OVERVIEW: The Business English Training Program will enable students to understand and communicate verbally and in writing well. The attendees will be able to make effective decisions and present their thoughts and ideas in. this training will address the challenges faced and prepare them for professional office interaction. METHODOLOGIES: The training will involve a mix of methods, including interactive and will role modeling to study situations. The dynamics will help the students to learn by doing and direct instructions from the instructor. OBJECTIVES: • Understand and be able to implement the elements that help succeed in projects, situations and everyday interactions in the workplace. • Be able to manage work effectively through business communications. • Be able to present, discuss and highlight the key points in business communications • Ability to engage and interact with business people • Use Business English in written and oral communication WHO SHOULD ATTEND: This program is designed for all employees at governmental and non-governmental organizations, UN, World Bank, and private corporations with medium English proficiency. TIME AND LOCATION: The training will be Saturday through Wednesday from 3 pm to 5 pm. The training will be held at Kabul University, Faculty of Journalism, Media Operations Center, in Conference Room. Space is limited to first 30 registrants. PRIZE: Three students with highest grades at the end of the training will be awarded with round-trip tickets to Dubai for each. TRAINER AND FACILITATOR: Fatima Arabzada- Trainer: Economics and Politics major student at Bucknell University, one of the leading universities in Management and Engineering in Philadelphia, USA. Davis Foundation and other known philanthropies funded her scholarship. Fatima has worked at SOLA (School of Leadership, Afghanistan), PBSKLRN, Solace for the Children, Paxton International, Bucknell University Admissions and many other notable organizations. She is currently on development impact projects for Afghanistan women and youth, developing number of her own projects, and works at GIZ (The Deutche Gesellschaft Fur Internationale Zusammenarbeit) as a Consultant. Tayo Fagbenro- Facilitator: Tayo Fagbenro is a Development Consultant with over thirty years business, program development and professional experience in twenty-four countries, including more than ten years in Afghanistan and Pakistan assisting businesses, governmental agencies and community development organizations in vision, leadership, program, community and organizational development. He has served as Consultant to Multilateral, International and Non-Governmental Organizations including United Nations Development Program, World Bank, World Food Program, World Vision, World Compassion, The Life Link etc. His desire is to see professional and development organizations achieve sustainable development impact and results. Tayo is Program Manager/ Team Leader of Afghan Universities Media Operation Center (AUMOC) funded by the US Embassy in Kabul. Tayo has written and edited hundreds of business and grant proposals; handbooks, and manuals. Tayo developed and delivered trainings in Business Ethics; Public Sector Leadership; Proposal Writing; Corporate Marketing Materials; and Strategic Communications Workshops, in Afghanistan and Pakistan to professional staff of NGOs and Companies.
