MY TAKE ON DAVID KIMAIYOS RESIGNATION AS THE INSPECTOR GENERAL OF THE KENYA POLICE: 1. Whether by force or by self-will, it was long overdue. 2. Competence is needed in our institutions as the taxpayers money has value & the services of those hired must live up to the task. 3. The rampant cases of terror attacks in the nation prompted all Kenyans to ask the president to act. He has thus acted. Thanks Mr President for the cry for justice. 4. Individuals do work in our institutions NOT tribes. Those dragging Kalenjins into this are SICK minded. 5. Kenya has 3 arms of gvt. The bicameral legislature, The Judiciary & The Executive I.e the Presidency. These separated powers are independent from each other although they work in harmony. The issues surrounding Shollei doesnt relate to TNA/URP. Naysayers take your case to CJ Mutunga. On Rugut, he is still at work. Shida iko wapi? 6. Theres NO permanent seat that is a preserve of tribe A, B, G, R, X or even Z.The Kalenjin are NOT an exception. 7. Individual challenges are NOT communal. They will NEVER BE at any time. 8. When any Innocent Kenyan is killed by terrorists, my heart bleeds in sorrow. I still feel for all Kenyans who perished. Poleni. 9. I will want TO STAND TALL & TO BE COUNTED that I cant be symphatetic to people who betrayed Kenya by being incompetent in our institutions. Should I do so, it means I will be endorsing incompetence & I will fail my country. 10. The President of the Republic of Kenya is at his final freedom & right to appoint any deserving Kenyan to be our IG even if it means out of Rift Valley. My eyes are fixed at the former police comisioner mr.mouhamed ally 11. Finally, as my antagonists plan to throw heavy salvos at me, I urge you to know that I have all the right to be different ~thenkyu
