Transplant Research Poster Selected for ASAIO Conference An abstract from one of Baylor Health Care System’s research teams has been selected for poster presentation at the 60th Annual American Society for Artificial Internal Organs Conference (ASAIO). The abstract, which discusses left ventricular assist devices, or LVADs, will appear at the conference’s all-day poster session on Friday, June 20, and will be included in the event’s moderated poster discussion. Congratulations for the achievement go to Sandra Carey, MS, MPH, CCRN, ANP-BC (nurse practitioner), Shelley A. Hall, MD (cardiologist), Nazia Iram (transplant research analyst II) and Giovanna Saracino (biostatistician), all with the Center for Advanced Heart and Lung Disease at the Baylor Annette C. and Harold C. Simmons Transplant Institute. The ASAIO conference will be held June 18-21 in Washington, DC.
