Tuesday, 28 October 2014 PATIENTLY WAITING James 5:7 KJV Be patient therefore, brethren, unto the coming of the Lord. Behold, the husbandman waiteth for the precious fruit of the earth, and hath long patience for it, until he receive the early and latter rain. One important virtue of the person awaiting the second coming of Jesus Christ is patience. It is indispensable to anyone waiting for something or someone. Without patience which implies longsuffering, the believer is sure to lose hope and give up. Things around you may not be favourable; the wicked seems to be oppressing the godly; the system or economy is calling for saints to compromise and to conform to its patterns. To be frank, the direction things are heading, if a believer doesnt put on patience and longsuffering, one may easily give up. Just as the farmer awaits the harvest of his fruits, not giving up on tending his farm till the final harvest, we also must patiently wait till final salvation of our souls takes place when our Saviour Jesus Christ appears. Sometimes ungodly people mocks us because over two thousand years ago since we were told of the coming of Jesus Christ, nothing has happened to indicate that Hell come. Beloved, no matter what happens, Jesus Christ will surely come again. He will come and rescue us from this corrupted world. He will come and set us free from the limited fleshly nature which wars against the Spirit, and well be like Him. Dont give up now, hold on a little longer, and a little firmer. For now our salvation is nearer than before. NB: Weve come too far to throw our hands in the air, saying its enough! No, hold on a little longer, for very soon, oh very soon our Saviour will come.
