Twenty-six years ago tonight, a drunk driver changed my daughter, Monicas ,and my life. He killed her Dad, and my husband, Jeff Manley. I couldnt understand how the court later let him walk because of loopholes in how the law was written at that time. Thank God that the laws were changed. No family should be torn apart and told were sorry, but..... Today we still mourn, but we are grateful for family that understands, and a bond that no one can ever take away. I hope that the driver has changed his life for the better, but I pray God will never put us in the same room, or that he ever crosses the street in front of my car. At least his family doesnt go to the cemetery for Fathers Day.
