Two men aged 27 and 28 have been charged with attempted robbery, possession of an offensive weapon with intent to commit an indictable offence and theft. They are both expected to appear before Newry Magistrates Court this morning, Monday 19 May. The charges are in connection with an attempted armed robbery of commercial premises in the Killylea Road area of Armagh yesterday afternoon, Sunday 18 May. As is normal procedure all charges will be reviewed by the Public Prosecution Service.
