Two weeks ago my three year old daughter informed me that she asked a little boy in her class to marry her and he said yes! She was ecstatic...me, not so much. I told her she couldnt marry anyone yet because she was too young and because I had not met him yet. I asked her why she wanted to marry Miles (thats his name)? She said because she likes him, hes nice to her, and he gives her what she needs!?!?!? I asked her what that meant and she told me, whenever I need something, he gives it to me! Latice thought that was cute...me, not so much. Yesterday, she told me that she wanted Miles to come over to our house so I could meet him. She wants to marry him and I have to meet him first, so he NEEDS to come over. I told her well see. Latice thought this was funny...me, not so much. So, yesterday at daycare while Jordan was washing her hands, I decided to meet this little Don Juan who won the heart of my 3-yr old daughter: Me: are you Miles? Miles: (Nods yes) Me: You know Im Jordans dad dont you? Miles: (Nods yes) Me: I heard she proposed to you and you said yes? Miles: (Nods yes) Me: You like my daughter? Miles: (Nods yes) Me: Well you cant marry her yet, but you keep being nice to her and we will get along just fine! Miles: OK! (giggles) Lord help me, Im not ready for this! Latice thinks Im taking it too seriously...me,...not so much! #DaddiesDontPlay
