#UGANDA: Around Ush 18 Billion + was collected from Gorilla Permit Sales with an additional Ush 6 Billion + from Chimpanzee Permit Sales in 2013..These figures exclude income generated from other National Parks like Queenelizabeth Nationalpark, Murchisonfalls NationalPark, Rwenzorimountains Nationalpark, Mt Elgon National Park, Lake Mburo National Park, Kidepo Valley National Park & other Game Reserves in the country...This time Iam focussing my advocacy to helping find mechanisms to support Uganda Tourism Board (UTB)..I met some one from Rwanda who told me that Rwanda Development Board (RDB) set aside US$7m for marketing with an additional US$ 7m from the Rwanda government making a total of US$14m ear marked to promote/ market Rwanda ..Been thinking why we always have a marketing /budgetary problem when we are generating the required funds...this time round we need to get a solution...why?...WHY?...WHY?..
