UM Student Affairs and Academic Affairs will celebrate Constitution Day and commemorate the 50th anniversary of the 16th Street Baptist Church bombing, and all are invited to attend. The documentary "4 Little Girls" will be screened Tuesday, Sept. 17, and Wednesday, Sept. 18, at 3 p.m. each day, in the Merchants and Planters Bank Auditorium in Comer Hall. On Thursday, Sept. 19, Michele Forman will speak and lead a discussion in the Anna Irvin Dining Hall, beginning at 3:30 p.m. Forman is director of visual literacy at the University of Alabama at Birmingham and is co-director of the Media Studies Program. Forman, a documentary filmmaker, gained her experience as an executive in feature films. As director of development at Spike Lee’s 40 Acres and a Mule Filmworks, she was responsible for the acquisition and development of new projects. In addition, Forman served as associate producer on Lee’s Academy-Award-nominated film, "4 Little Girls." For more information, contact Tammi Dahle at [email protected].
