US singer, musician and conductor Bobby McFerrin recently guested at a concert in Leipzig, with sound reinforcement provided by Fohhn Focus Modular systems. Best known for his song “Don’t worry, be happy”, which was a worldwide hit, McFerrin has won a total of 10 Grammys. As part of the recent 15th Leipzig “A Cappella” Festival, he appeared with a seven-piece A Cappella group in the world famous Gewandhaus concert hall. The company responsible for providing sound reinforcement for the concert wanted to use a Beam Steering system so that they could compare its sound quality and performance capability in a difficult acoustic environment with that of a conventional speaker system.
