Unless youre involved in it, Im not quite sure the outside world gets how hard the dance world is- whether its dance team or studio. And the amount of work and preparation that occurs to compete 4-5 times as opposed to other sports that do it once a week. With that being said, I love that Im a dance coach in Michigan. With almost all teams advancing to semis, and 4 makings finals appearances, some for the first time, a few for several years in a row, the state is filled with quality talent. The talent, dedication, and passion these dancers have is outstanding. And the coaches are amazing. I find it a wonderful learning experience to coach alongside these men and women and am grateful to have such a close group of coaches as the Michigan dance coaches. Thank you for your constant support and push to help make me a better coach and find ways to make my team continue to grow and develop. I love this experience and am also thankful I was apart of UDA staff to get to foster and develop these relationships. Congrats to all the teams this weekend and a huge shout out to all the coaches. Thanks for all you do- and enjoy the off season (as if such a thing exists)!
