Up late thinking about how privileged we all are in this country. How we dont know what true poverty is. Im not talking about the kind of poverty where u qualify for food stamps or cash aid or any of that junk. Or the kind of poverty that u CHOSE to drop out of school, give up on urself, & become homeless. What Im speaking about is the kind of poverty that u were born into. The kind that u have no CHOICE to go to school because education isnt an option they give u. No one will understand how lucky and privileged we are to be AMERICANS until we open our eyes and maybe, just maybe once in your lifetime visit a country with little to no options and take a walk in their shoes. Maybe then is when We will stop taking our life, freedom, & everything handed to us for granted. My future children WILL visit Vietnam and if I have the means to, they will visit more countries.
